These wooden stitch and glue, canoes are designed to endure a lifetime of use. All boats are either
made out highest grade oukome marine plywood. The outside is
sheath with fiberglass and 5 coats of marine varnish.
LAPSTRAP CANOE
The Rushton
lapstrake canoes were considered the ultimate in canoe construction but they faded out for simpler constructed canoes like aluminum and fiberglass.
The 12 ft lap-strap weighs only 26 lbs, perfect for portaging down the trail to your favorite paddle spot. This canoe can hold up to 250 lbs load. Tracks well, turns easy perfect for fishing.
This canoe is lighter, faster and stronger then the plastic/aluminum canoes models. There is 16' lap-strap canoe with ash-caned seats, sapele decks, mahogany outwales, and an ash thwart.

The SUNSET
This traditional looking canoe
has small fore and aft decks as well as a
narrow side deck, with its mahogany
sheer strake and decks, trimmed out in ash, and topped off with caned
cherry seats, it is a real beauty!
The SUNSET can be built with either a single or double paddle canoe by simply changing the mounting position of the seats. Length 15' 6", width 33", and only weighs 47 Lbs.
